The Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas

  The Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (IFNTUOG), established in 1967, is the market leader in providing high-level technical and nontechnical training services to Ukraine’s energy sector – a major driver of Ukrainian economy . Professors from Poland lectured for IFNTUOG students

On December 4 2017, the Polish professors Dr. Ewa Kmiecik, professor of the Department of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology of the Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection and Dr. Pawel Kosakowski, a lecturer at the Department of Environmental Analysis, Geological Mapping and Economic Geology and curator of our students at AGH arrived at the Ivan-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. The guests came with a series of educational lectures in the framework of the cooperation agreement between IFNTUNG and the University of Science and Technology (Polish Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica) (AGH).

This is not the first educational visit from Poland, since the Cooperation Agreement envisages multidisciplinary activities and education, in particular. This time, students of the Institute of Environmental Engineering majoring in «Ecology and Environmental Protection», and students of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics were able to listen to the professional lectures. Presenters also talked about the features of studying under the dual diploma program.

OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine reporting on its work

On December 5 2017, a meeting of representatives of the Special Monitoring Mission (working in the Ivano-Frankivsk, Transcarpathian and Ternopil regions) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) with cadets of the military training department, students, teachers, and employees of IFNTUOG took place in the conference hall of the scientific and technical library of the University. The meeting was attended by the vice-rector for international affairs prof. Maksym Karpash.

Department of Oil and Gas Fields Development and Operation got Software from the Scottish Company

Department of Oil and Gas Fields Development and Operation of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas received a costly software from the Scottish company Petroleum Experts.

Petroleum Experts is a research and development company that encapsulates innovative engineering research in the field of software. One of the world's leading companies in the sphere of petroleum engineering software tools gave the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas Software with a total value of over £ 1.5 million.

The Integrated Production Modeling software package consists of six software products (GAP 11.0, PROSPER 14.0, MBAL 13.0, PVTP 12.0, REVEAL 7.0, RESOLVE 7.0) that allow you to simulate the whole process of oil and gas extraction:
