Agreement with the Opole University of Technology

On April 7, 2017 rector of the Ivano-Frankivsk national technical University of oil and gas, academician of the NAS of Ukraine. Ye. Kryzhanivskyi, and rector of the Opole University of Technology, Professor M. Tukiendorf signed an Agreement on cooperation between the IFNTUOG and the Polytechnic University of Opole (Poland) in the framework of the Forum of rectors of higher technical educational institutions of Ukraine and Poland, which took place in Kyiv under support of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine, Ministry of science and higher education of the Republic of Poland. The University has strong partnerships and a positive experience with Polish universities, in particular with Krakiw mining and metallurgical Academy. At the round table forum "Dual diplomas – cooperation of higher technical institutions of Ukraine and Poland in the field of education" the Vice rector for scientific and pedagogical work of IFNTUOG O. M. Mandryk shared the successes and achievements of this cooperation i.e. the participation of students in the program of dual diplomas, internships, and, doctoral studies.

Environmental Polish-Ukrainian competition project on guard for water resources of the Carpathian region

On March 22, 2017 the discussion of Polish-Ukrainian environmental project in the framework of participation in the contest of joint Ukrainian-Polish research projects announced by the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine and Ministry of science and higher education of the Republic of Poland took place in the Ivano-Frankivsk national technical University of oil and gas. The initiative to work together in one of the competitive priority directions of development of science and technology - "Ecology and environmental management", has been taken by the scientists of IFNTUOG and the AGH University of Science and Technology, Krakow Poland since the days of joint internships, training and scientific research between the Institute of Environmental Engineering of the University and the Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection (AGH).

A meeting of the international organizing Committee for the preparation of the Ukrainian-Polish days of education, science and innovation 2017 held in IFNTUOG

On March 6, 2017 a meeting of the international organizing Committee on preparation of Ukrainian-Polish days of education, science and innovation (Forum of rectors of higher technical educational institutions of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland) was held at the premises of the Ivano-Frankivsk national technical University of oil and gas. The Association of Rectors of Higher Technical Educational Institutions of Ukraine and the Conference of Rectors of Technical Universities of the Republic of Poland will organize the forum. It will take place on April 6-7 this year in Kyiv with the support of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine, Ministry of science and higher education of the Republic of Poland and the Polish educational Foundation "Perspektywy".

Representatives of Polish and Ukrainian educational community attended IFNTUOG.

 

Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine visited IFNTUOG

On March 10, 2017 the Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk visited the Ivano-Frankivsk national technical University of oil and gas in the framework of the working visit to the Precarpathian region. Mr. Ambassador met with the Rector, academician of NAS of Ukraine. Ye. Kryzhanivskyi, students, teaching staff, and directors of institutes. The audience congratulated the Ambassador with applause and listened to a brief lecture on the prospects of cooperation between our countries.

Canada is known for its support and friendly attitude to Ukraine. Mr. Vashchuk mentioned this and told about the possibility of effective cooperation in education and science. He also remembered the first Ukrainian immigrants from Nebyliv, whose hard work in Canada was a success and a role model for their compatriots. The Ambassador focused on the present: on Canadian projects in the energy sector, regional development, in particular the cities of Ivano-Frankivsk, Kolomyia, Dolyna and Yaremcha, investment and educational projects.

 

IFNTUOG students got acquainted with the activities of the special monitoring mission of the OSCE to Ukraine

On March 9, 2017 a meeting of students and University staff with representatives of the Ivano-Frankivsk branch of the special OSCE monitoring mission to Ukraine was held in the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. They introduced the activities of the mission, which deals with the collection and analysis of information on security. Guided by the main aim – the organization of security and cooperation in Europe, OSCE communicates with representatives of civil society, ethnic and religious groups, local communities and local authorities. The meeting turned out to be very interesting for the University students. They found out that the special monitoring mission arrived in Ukraine, once peace and stability were under threat. The headquarters of the mission is in Kiev, but observers are also in other cities of Ukraine and in particular in Ivano-Frankivsk. Observers report to the OSCE and to the participating countries; their information is available to the public and the media on the official website of the organization.
