The newly elected rector of IFNTUOG shared his plans for the next 5 years

On September 7, 2017 a press conference on the results of university rector elections was held in the conference hall of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. The media event was attended by members of the organizing committee of election, the administration of the IFNTUOG, the directors of the institutes, numerous media representatives, and guests.

The press conference was started by the chairman of the organizing committee for election – the Director of the Institute of Humanities and Public Administration, professor Dmytro Dzvinchuk who officially, in accordance with the final Protocol No. 7 of September 6, 2017, declared the academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Ye. Kryzhanivskyi the winner of the election race.  The newly elected rector of IFNTUOG will hold office for the next 5 years after signing the contract with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Mr. Dzvinchuk congratulated Ye. Kryzhanivskyi for a high level of trust expressed by the team of the university: 64.9% of the total number of votes.

Program NATO–Ukraine on retraining of discharged military personnel

On June 1, 2017, the students of the program "Marketing management", conducted in the framework of the "NATO-Ukraine program on retraining of retired military personnel” obtained their certificates at the premises of the Centre for entrepreneurship development "Business Incubator" of the Institute of Economics and management in oil and gas complex. Vadym Kozak, project manager of  Science Park of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman noted that the "NATO-Ukraine" program contributes to social adaptation of military personnel transferred to the reserve and involves the development of norms and rules of socio-economic environment, and adaptation to new social conditions. It ends with the exercising the right to work, free career choice, obtaining fair and satisfactory rewards for it, and, as a result, decent living conditions. NATO countries struggle to remove the tension caused by the dismissal of the military personnel from the army. There is a big expectation that NATO will continue to retrain Ukrainian officers seeking skills for new civil professions.

Final coordination meeting within the project HETES in the framework of the EU program TEMPUS

 On May 30 – June 1, 2017 the final coordination meeting on the project HETES that is being implemented within the framework of the EU programme TEMPUS was held at the Catholic University of Leuven (Campus Ghent, Belgium). The meeting was attended by representatives of all project partners. During the coordination meeting Ukrainian partners (National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine, Kryvyi Rih National UniversityDonetsk National Technical University, IFNTUOG and NPC "Energostal") presented their own achievements, which were highly appreciated by the European partners of the project. In addition, there was discussion of reporting the relevant materials. In particular, in his report, Professor O. Karpash presented the achievements of IFNTUOG on the project – a new master's program "Energy management", advanced educational programs, cooperation with enterprises, synergetic effects with other initiatives and projects. European partners had a tour around the Scientific city "New Energy" (, which elicited great interest of all present. Also in their reports, Professor M. Karpash and Associate Professor I. Rybitskyi announced an event that is going to take place on June 22, 2017. It will be dedicated to the opening of the laboratory of renewable energy - center for sustainable development. This very day a monitoring visit of National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine will take place at the premises of IFNTUOG with the participation of all project partners.

VIth International scientific and technical conference "Oil and Gas Power Engineering – 2017" took place in IFNTUOG

On May 16-18,2017 the VIthInternational scientific and technical conference "Oil and Gas Power Engineering – 2017" was held in the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. The conference was an important step in a series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the University. In his welcome speech, the Chairman of the organizing Committee, rector, academician of NAS of Ukraine, Professor Ye. Kryzhanivskyi noted that petroleum engineering is a branch of science that explores and develops scientific bases of the improvement of technology and techniques of production, transportation and use of energy, which is especially topical for Ukraine at this time.

This large-scale event was possible thanks to the organizational and sponsorship support of the leaders of the domestic oil and gas industry – companies "Ukrnafta", DTEK, Ukrtransgaz, Ukrtransnafta,international projects – 7 Сарасіties, Innovereast and the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine. The conference was attended by over 350 representatives of the educational and research establishments and the oil and gas industry of Ukraine, as well as guests from Norway, Austria, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Poland, Armenia, Belarus, Greece, Croatia, Iraq and other countries.
